Same sales number calling again? Anonymous calls you'd rather not deal with? With call blocking, you can redirect unwanted callers before your phone ever rings.
Block a number in the Rinkel app
Open the Rinkel app and go to History.
Tap a call.
Tap the three dots on the right.
Choose Block this number.
Want to allow it again? Same route — choose Unblock this number.
Managing blocks in MyRinkel (desktop)
For anonymous calls, entire countries, or an overview of all your blocks, head to MyRinkel:
Log in to MyRinkel and go to History > Blocked numbers.
Click Block a phone number and add the block.
Want to get rid of anonymous calls in one go? Toggle on Block anonymous callers. They'll hear: "Anonymous calls to this number are blocked. Enable caller ID and try again."
Blocking an entire country or region
Lots of spam from one country or region? Use an asterisk (*) as a wildcard. Three ways to do it:
Entire country — country code +
*. For example,+32*blocks all calls from Belgium.Area code — country code + area code +
*. For example,+31 0800*blocks all 0800 freephone numbers.Number range — country code + start of number +
*. For example,+31 010 123 41*blocks 010 123 4100 through 010 123 4199.
Add these blocks via Blocked numbers > Block phone number in MyRinkel.
What does a blocked caller hear and see?
Specific number blocked: busy tone, then disconnected.
Anonymous blocked: the message above.
In your call list, blocked calls show the status Blocked — handy for checking whether you've blocked something by mistake.

Can I set up blocks per number?
No. Blocks apply to all numbers on your account.
Can I only allow Dutch numbers and block the rest?
No — a whitelist (allow only) isn't available yet. You can block individual countries or ranges using the wildcard.
A blocked caller is getting through — how is that possible?
Check in Blocked numbers that the number is still listed and in the right format (with country code, e.g. +31). A number saved as 0612345678 won't always match +31612345678.
How many numbers can I block?
No fixed limit, add as many as you like.
